This is my story…

Welcome! I am the creator of cwwhimsicaldesigns and Give a hoot! Scoop the poop! ™️.  I'm a crafty DIY mother of 3 humans and 3 pups, who loves to paint, sew, and refurbish furniture.  So when my best friend complained about dog poop left on her beautiful lawn every morning, I came up with a decorative, fun and functional solution.

Give a hoot! Scoop the poop! ™️ is a cottage industry that was created to address poop left in your yard.  Hang these adorable poop bag dispensers in your yard to clean up after your own pet or for your neighbors who happen to run out of bags.  Each dispenser is a refillable one of a kind, hand painted bird house that is converted into a poop bag dispenser.  Each dispenser comes with a roll of bags and fits standard size rolls. They are great gifts for pet lovers, for housewarming or for ‘just because’ gifts!

With each Give a hoot dispenser purchase, $10 will be donated to Muttville.org.

The same friend, who sparked my Give a hoot idea, is my best friend from 3rd grade, Minyo. We grew up together sharing many happy events with one another such as high school prom, our wedding days, birth of our children, etc. Unfortunately, we have experienced unhappy times as well. Both of us have been touched by cancer but in different ways. My daughter is a cancer survivor of Stage 4 Hepatoblastoma (www.cutesweetpastries.com). Minyo is in remission from stomach cancer. In addition to leaning on each other for support during these earth shattering events, we found comfort sewing, crafting & baking. We decided to combine our passion of crafts and baking with charity to give back and help those undergoing similar experiences. I create whimsical masks, jewelry, and more. Minyo makes delicious organic jams and cookies (IG: @happy_jamz). Together, “Crafts, Cookies & Charity” (CCC) was born. CCC donates a percentage of our sales to charity. So far, we’ve donated to the American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Second Harvest food Bank, St. Jude Hospital, Feeding America, BLM, and Muttville.

Since the pandemic, we had to cancel our annual CCC event. But in the meantime, I have made over 1300+ masks and donated all of the money I receive from my mask sales ($7500+) to charity.

I decided to continue to share my story to a broader population and sell my handmade items to you, the DIY art & crafts community. I hope you will help me continue to share the gift of giving!

Thank you!
